I try to be consistent in rules and consequences.
Tonight Richard informed me he didn't like the consequence of not eating his dinner. He said, "I'm going to keep whining and making annoying noises until you give me dessert." He proceeded to do such. He went into one of the worst tantrums he's had in a while.
Are you feeling motivated to give him dessert, yet? Yea, me neither. Bedtime one hour early!

Oh man, that's kind of hilarious - even though I'm sure it was crazy annoying at the time. I love when kids decide to make their own rules just to test you out. Looks like mom and dad scored an A+. :)
