For the most part, I feel like video games are a waste of time. However, I understand that for some people video games are a lot of fun. I understand it can be a source of bonding. I get that. I'll play every now and again with no bruise to my conscience.
However, today, I worked hard to provide fun activities for my kids. I brought them to the park. I brought them to the local water park. Have you ever brought 4 kids to the water park by yourself? It takes some work. I'm willing to do it. My kids deserve to have fun despite the fact it's not easy. We went to Richard's t-ball game. Richard likes t-ball. He's excited to go.
Then, Richard started to cry tonight when I informed him that he wouldn't have time to play video games before going to bed. Really?! I brought him to the water park and all he cares about is that he didn't have time to play video games?! I was a bit annoyed and threatened that if he didn't stop whining, I would find a babysitter for him next time we went so he wouldn't miss his precious video game time (which is limited to one hour a day. It does NOT accumulate over time. I feel there is more to life than video games.)
Nothing personal, Mario.

That would be annoying!
I have one of those (a kid who thinks he has to play everyday despite all the fun we had)! How was the water park? Was it really crowded? And by the way you are WAY brave!
I hate that so much! And you are such an amazing mommy!
