Marie and Peter had their first visit to the dentist. I called to make them an appointment and the receptionist said, "Well, we have an opening this morning." I took it.
I didn't have high expectations for their cooperation. They surprised me! They tried as hard as their little two-year-old hearts could. They weren't quite sure about biting on a film to get an x-ray. They did it anyway. Marie even said, "NO!" when I told her it was her turn to sit on the chair. However, once she was up there, she was a sport and was cooperative.
Then, it was time to get their teeth cleaned. I knelt next to them and held their hand. Peter even started to cry, but he held still and was cooperative. They let their displeasure be known, and yet they still did their best to be cooperative. What troopers!
They thought the stickers they got and the new toothbrushes were the best. After all, what's cooler than a toothbrush with Tigger on it?
