Vacation

Scott's family came in town for Scott's Grandpa's 80th birthday. We all drove up to some condos by a lake. However, the spring here has been a bit on the cooler and wetter side, and so we didn't even go to the lake.

I didn't think the pool was a great idea, either. However, the kids were really excited about it, and so we went down. I kept my sweater on, because it really wasn't that warm. I did put on a swimsuit, though, so I could rescue the kids if needed.

Peter was really excited about wearing the goggles.

We went to a cave that was full of cool stalactites and stalagmites. The kids did a great job! They walked most of the way. Well, Peter was spoiled and carried by his uncle until I told said uncle that I was making Marie walk and so could Peter. By the end, Marie was saying, "I a big girl!" because I kept telling her how big she was for walking by herself and not making me carry her. She was pretty proud of herself! Audrey and Richard did a great job staying with an adult and not being disruptive when the guide was talking. Peter and Marie discovered echos and so weren't always very quiet :).

There were several hundred stairs in that cave!

We had a BBQ at the end of the day with the family. The kids ate way too much junk food and had fun running around with balls, frisbees, and 2nd cousins.
