Sensitive Audrey

I don't know what the difference is. I don't know if she justs eats different foods. I don't know if it's because she often poops 3-4 times a day. I don't know if it's one of her rotten lots in life. However, poor Audrey develops diaper rash so easily! This morning it was so bad she was bleeding. For reference, yesterday, she hardly had evidence of anything! Richard, on the other hand, will avoid diaper changes and so sometimes sit in messy diapers for quite a while. He RARELY gets diaper rash. I currently have A&D ointment. I'm not convinced it's working all that well, because she's still bright red. I've not really experimented much with stuff, because I never had to with Richard. I've just used what I had on hand with Audrey. I'm not sure if she just has sensitive skin or if the A&D is really just worthless, stinky stuff. I've used Desitin (the creamy, not pasty variety) and it didn't seem that much more impressive. For anyone out there who may have experience, have you found something that works REALLY well?

Desitin - load it on
Neosporan - on the bleeding parts
Very frequent diaper changes - don't let them sit in a diaper that's at all wet until the diaper rash is gone. (very high maintenance and not fun)

Hey, this is Katherine Powell. I jumped over to your blog from Ann-Marie's (hope you don't mind). Savanna is the same way. She often poops in her sleep in the middle of the night and doesn't wake up, so I never know til morning when the diaper rash is already awful. I use Aquaphor (by Eucerin), and then I put Desitin on top of that. Works wonders!

Your kids are getting so big! About the diaper rash... I totally sympathize. Kaylee had sensitive skin too and I could only use the sensitive wipes and also aquaphor seems to work well and isn't too messy. Hope she starts feeling better.

Kate is the same way--she gets diaper rash really easily and really badly. I LOVE Boudreaux's Butt Paste. I also put vaseline on the open sores, but let the whole bum air dry before doing anything.

I'm so glad you commented on my blog--I've been wondering what you guys have been doing lately!
