Peanut Butter

So, I gave Marie and Peter a peanut butter and jam sandwich for the first time tonight. Marie ate a few bites but then seemed to be full. Peter gobbled it up! He seemed to love it! I was thinking that was great, because I can add variety to his menu.
However, 30 minutes later, I noticed he looked like this.

Guess we won't be doing peanut butter again. I'm just thrilled he never seemed bothered by it and never struggled to breathe.

No control

Do you ever feel like certain aspects of your life are spinning out of control and you can't do much to stop it? Like the amount of money I have to pay in taxes? Like the amount of money I'm going to have to pay for health insurance for my HEALTHY family? Like the amount of freedom I have to make certain decisions? Hmmm....

Remembering

Remember what it was like to do something YOU like? I was reminded this week when I borrowed a book that is intended for adults to read. It doesn't have pictures on every page that dwarf the number of words. It wasn't written by Dr. Seuss, Disney, or Berenstein people. I LOVED it! I'm really making it a goal to read again. While I'm doing that, I'm going to play the piano again. Well, I'll sight read stuff and pretend I know how to play. I don't mean go all out and actually practice like I did when I was in high school. I just mean enjoy myself. Aahhh....
